#whyiWPPI with Caroline Tran

We asked some of the photographers and educators who are speaking at WPPI 2019 to tell us about their experiences attending WPPI, the largest wedding and portrait photography conference and show in the U.S. Here’s what Caroline Tran had to say.

What was your first year attending WPPI?
2009 (? my 10 year anniversary there!).

What is your fondest WPPI memory?
Bringing both of my sons there when they were each 7 weeks old (I never miss WPPI!). I even spoke at the Richard Photo Lab booth with my second son in a carrier and may have even breastfed. Mom’s gotta work and baby’s gotta eat!

What are you excited to see in 2019?
This is my first year as a platform speaker!! I’m excited to bring my presentation and education to a new platform. WPPI has inspired me and helped me with my career so much, and I’m excited to give back.

Why do you come year after year?
WPPI is where I annually reflect on my business, assess where I’m at with my goals, get inspired, and set new goals for the year. It’s also my anual reunion with all my industry friends!

How has attending WPPI helped you propel your business?
WPPI helped accelerate the growth of my business. I was able to gain access to knowledge and experience from seasoned photographers, which saved me years of trial and error. It also exposed me to many different styles, which helped me zone in on my niche early on in my career.
