#whyiWPPI with Jen Rozenbaum

February 23, 2019

By Conor Risch

We asked some of the photographers and educators who are speaking at WPPI 2019 to tell us about their experiences attending WPPI, the largest wedding and portrait photography conference and show in the U.S. Here’s what Jen Rozenbaum had to say.

What was your first year attending WPPI?
I believe it was 2011!

What are you excited to see in 2019?
I am excited to see all of the amazing new things on the trade show floor in addition to watching the presentations in the Nikon booth that blow me away every time.

Why do you come year after year?
My reason for coming is twofold. First is to connect. We are in such a lonely, isolated business. It’s vitally important we get out and make in-person connections! The second reason is to learn and be inspired by all of the amazing creatives present at WPPI. It renews my love for what I do every year.

What is the most unexpected thing that has come out of your experiences at WPPI?
Friendships with people I would have never crossed paths with normally. I have made friends from all over the world!

Best booth swag received at WPPI?
I mean, if you don’t walk away with at least a t-shirt from Nikon or Fundy, you haven’t really been to WPPI.
