We asked some of the photographers and educators who are speaking at WPPI 2019 to tell us about their experiences attending WPPI, the largest wedding and portrait photography conference and show in the U.S. Here’s what Kelly Brown had to say.
What was your first year attending WPPI?
2012.
What is your fondest WPPI memory?
It would have to be receiving a score of 100 in 2014 for a print of my mother. I almost fell off my chair!
Why do you come year after year?
Every year I come back to completely immerse myself in learning. Whether it’s from the conversations I’ve had at the bar, in the trade show, watching the live print judging or listening to one of the many incredible presenters.
How has attending WPPI helped you propel your business?
I would have to say the connections I’ve made over the past seven years. This community, from exhibitors to photographers, wants to see you succeed and encourages you to do so.
Which speakers are you excited to see at WPPI?
Alexi Lubomirski.
