With full delivery by the end of this January, Hasselblad has released their most affordable XCD medium-format lens yet, the $1,099 XCD 4/45P.
At 1.85 inches in depth and weight of only 0.71 pounds, the XCD 4/45P is also their most lightweight and most compact optics option.

It will sit next to the $2,695 Hasselblad XCD 3,5/45 in a line of eight primes, another XCD 45mm focal length with a 35mm equivalence.
That model weighs 0.92 pounds but gains a brighter aperture at f/3.5 over f/4 in the XCD 4/45P.

The sensor in the X1D II 50C is 1.7x larger than 35mm at a 46.3mm diagonal, giving an equivalent 0.8x magnification in 35mm equivalence.
So the 45mm XCD 4/45P and the XCD 3,5/45 both give a similar angle of view as a 36mm on a full-frame camera.

Hasselblad uses a leaf-aperture blade mechanism that houses the shutter within the lens rather than the camera. The leaf shutter in the XCD 4/45P has been engineered to minimize vibrations and sounds. It also has silenced autofocus operations.
With full flash sync to 1/2000th of a second in shutter, the XCD 4/45P can also be used for an exposure time of up to 68 minutes.

Ranging from a 21mm to a 135mm, the Hasselblad XCD primes are otherwise available. Their $5,175 XCD 3,5-4,5/35-75 zoom is also up for preorder, though no delivery date as of yet.
