Giving full recycling at full power within less than a second, the $569 FJ400 Strobe is Westcott’s latest portable 400Ws light head. Outputting up to nine stops of illumination, the light will also maintain its 5500K color temperature throughout burst to within plus or minus 150K degrees.

Announced with the $119 Westcott FJ-X2M wireless trigger, compatible with most camera brands, the FJ400 Strobe also works remotely with Canon RT wireless systems right out of the box.

For power efficiency the strobe will flash four hundred times on a single charge thanks to the removable AC/DC lithium polymer battery.

A Continuous Capture mode will burst at up to 20 fps, and there are also Delay Function and Automatic Memory Recall for repeating lighting setups. A Mask Function provides easy masking in image editing for fast post processing of product and studio shots.

The intuitive menu via the LCD color display on the FJ400 has both Manual and TTL Flash modes. HSS—High Speed Sync—supports frame rates at up to 1/8000th of a second, while Freeze Sync will flash at up to 1/19000s.
