Nissin’s newest on-camera flash plays well with a variety of batteries.

The new MG80 accepts both NiMH and AA-sized Li-ion (14500) batteries and can deliver recycling times as fast as 1.5 sec. when using Li-ion or 3.8 sec. with NiMH batteries installed. You’ll enjoy about 280 flashes when using Li-ion batteries and up to 320 with NiMH batteries.

The flash features a NAS 2.4GHz built-in wireless commander with a range of 100 meters and a Quartz flash tube with heat resistance and a vented head. Speaking of the flash head, you can rotate it a full 180 degrees or tilt it up to 90 degrees.

The MG80 will be sold in versions for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic and Olympus cameras. Pricing was not announced.
