If you’ve ever looked at Instagram and wished it was more like Facebook, well, you’re in luck.

In an announcement at Facebook’s developer’s conference, the sibling social network said it was updating its camera app with a new “Create” mode that would let you create posts with no photos or videos, only text. You know, just like Facebook.

The Create mode will also support the use of interactive stickers and photo effects, should you choose to post an image. Instagram says the new Create mode and camera function will be rolled out globally “soon.”

Instagram is also making it easier to for influencers to hawk stuff.

The network said it is now beta-testing a product tagging function that will let “creators” tag products and items in their posts so viewers can purchase them from within Instagram using a ‘checkout‘ function.

The feature is currently being beta-tested by a hand-selected group of creators (full list here).
