Get Up Close with Tokina’s New Macro Lens for Sony Full Frame

Tokina is releasing a new lens in its Fı́RIN line of full-frame lenses for Sony E-mount cameras.
The Fı́RIN 100mm F2.8 FE MACRO for Sony E-mount delivers a 1:1 reproduction at 11.8 inches from the sensor plane.
The lens has electronic contacts to transmit EXIF data as well as to support Sony camera features including 5-axis image stabilization, MF assist, focus peaking and more.
According to Tokina, the 100mm has a flat-field optical design that suppresses the field-of-view curvature to zero. The lens features multi-coatings to combat chromatic aberration, flare and ghosting.
There are nine aperture blades that stop down to f/32. The lens accepts 55mm filters and weighs in at 1.3 pounds.
It will set you back $599 and is available for pre-order now.
