Editor’s Pick: Christophe Viseux’s Engaging Adventure

When I look through Christophe Viseux’s striking portfolio of candid wedding photos from around the world, the first thing I ask myself is, “How many frequent flyer miles has this guy racked up?”

With destination shoots in Dubai, India, Nigeria, Kenya, Croatia, France, Morocco, Brazil, Colombia, Italy, the U.S. and more, the answer is most likely in the hundreds of thousands. The in-demand Viseux, based in Paris and winner of countless awards and honors, sums up his style in one succinct sentence: “I am always looking for the most spontaneous moments with an authentic yet elegant style.”

I’ve always been drawn to Viseux’s pure storytelling moments, vivid colors, gritty black-and-whites, and scenes of various cultural nuances. Here, a tenuous moment captured in Jaipur, from the multi-day coverage of couple Swati and Ayush’s Indian wedding. “While exploring the Amer Fort for their couple session, we got chased by the police and had to cut it short,” Viseux explains. “Lucky enough, we still managed to have some fun with the elephants.”
