From stretch marks to changing bellies and swollen ankles, motherhood rapidly changes a woman’s body. Maternity photographers are tasked with capturing the beauty in those changes. When expectant mothers don’t feel beautiful in their own skin, these maternity photographers help remind them of the power and beauty of becoming a mother.
In honor of Mother’s Day this Sunday, May 8, we’ve highlighted some of our favorite maternity photographers to follow on Instagram. If you’re as obsessed as we are around this time of year with images of glowing moms, you’ll definitely want to check out these photographers’ feeds.

Sophia Barrett is a portrait photographer in Atlanta whose art goes far beyond just taking photos. She focuses primarily on maternity and motherhood themes in her work and uses her art as a vehicle to celebrate the strength, beauty, courage, vulnerability, and love of her clients.
Ana Brandt
Newborn and maternity photographer Ana Brandt is known for her striking, creative images of infants and mothers. The success of her maternity images is due in part to both her photography skills and her ability to visualize and style her subjects. In fact, that success has led her to design her own maternity gowns as the founder of Belly Baby Wear.
Lori Dorman
A birth doula turned photographer, Lori Dorman’s work regularly features baby bumps. Her Instagram feed is filled with maternity images that mix fashion and boudoir in celebrating the pregnant mother.
