Malorie Kerouac
Before Malorie Kerouac pursued photography, she was a CPA and green to the art world. She searched high and low for her signature style, trying all sorts of different popular trends but failing to find the artistic confidence she was looking for in her work—until she discovered film.
Kerouac aims to be a flexible observer and a calm presence at every wedding she shoots, which manifests itself in her characteristic photojournalistic style. She has recently shifted away from the more portrait-centric images and instead focuses on heartfelt interactions and other candid emotional moments. She states, “I, one day, hope to be able to say that my style is to catch a fleeting moment or feeling, and that it is captured in such a way that you might hang it as an art piece rather than as a wedding photo.”
