A self-proclaimed curious empath, Julie Blin describes her style as the meeting between the human and the aesthetic. She aims to instinctively transcribe the beauty and feeling of each moment into her work, freezing emotions in time.

She started her photographic journey while traveling and quickly realized she was much more drawn to capturing people than landscapes. Blin finds inspiration in everything, saying, “I think that everything around us and what we see, consciously or unconsciously, creates our inspiration.”

Blin notes that she is a big consumer of movies, books and art, and she is particularly drawn to watercolor because of its diluted and ethereal nature. Her intentionally “blurred” images illustrate that ethereal effect that she enjoys so much. “Life is not always fixed and precise, like the memories I try to capture, which sometimes remain in our minds as imperceptible and elusive,” she says.
