Jon Gazzignato
“What’s your favorite wedding location to shoot in” is a question Jon Gazzignato says he gets asked over and over again. “My answer is always the same: anywhere I haven’t shot before. Constantly going to new locations forces me to adapt and change. It keeps me passionate about shooting 40+ weddings a year and it pushes me to always be better.”
Gazzignato says he would describe his style as dramatic and romantic. “I lean into my surroundings for inspiration, whether that’s at the peak of a mountaintop or in an alleyway in the middle of the city. I’m always looking for ways to build on the atmosphere around me. Tasmania has become a massive hotspot for destination weddings and elopements, so I need to tell the unique story of where a couple are and how they feel every time.”
As for the technical, he mainly shoots with 28mm, 35mm and 50mm lenses because “they allow me to move around heaps and get some gnarly angles.”
