Living on a remote island does have its advantages, says Helene Havard, like being guided by inspiration and creativity since she doesn’t meet most of her couples until the wedding day. “I use my sensitivity and intuition to take photos that will reflect their love and draw out their personalities.” And while Havard says the beauty of the light and the natural backdrops of Tahiti give her images a fairytale quality, she sometimes likes using colors that are a touch paler to go well with the soft light she prefers to work with.
