Dark Roux

Jamie and Heather, a.k.a. Dark Roux Photography, say their passion for covering weddings blossomed after not having their own real wedding and realizing the memories they missed out on preserving for their children. As for style and technique, Jamie says, “The Nikon D750 has become our go-to camera, leaving our D4s as secondaries. We try to use as much available light as possible while still striving for the dramatic look that we love. After sunset we use as little off-camera lighting as we can so we don’t ruin the ambiance of the reception venue.”
