Chonfan Bong
With a master’s degree in architecture, Chonfan Bong has an eye for form. “Personally, it is impossible to untangle my photography style from my architectural background,” he says. “Both require sharp observations of the environment, people, culture, light and shadow. I am just composing and capturing the essence of space and emotions with a camera now instead of a pencil.” He shoots with Nikon and Fujifilm cameras, as well as a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone, and his favorite focal length is 24mm because he likes integrating surrounding context into his photos.
An introvert, Bong says he prefers to give minimal instruction, and his couples are comfortable with that. “They know that my moments of silence while pressing the shutters mean they are doing everything perfectly and I’m just indulging in my creative bubble,” he says. “I am not an adventurous guy when I am not with my camera. However, I will become fearless in chasing the best moments with my clients when I’m a photographer.”
