Wedding of the Week
Is there anything more romantic than a wedding in the South of France, especially when it takes place at a gorgeous luxury villa like Fontaine de Saumane, and what’s more, Don Bringas and wife Helen are your wedding photographers (with second shooters Natan Sans and Jacob Loafman)? The result, for couple Ginger and Matthew—who were surrounded by an abundance of friends, family, love and light—was a wedding day, and ensuing photo album, to cherish forever.
“This wedding was so authentic,” Bringas says. “You could really feel the love between the couple and their friends and family. We also really loved the venue, an old mansion with lots of history. It was just wonderful. Later on, the couple and their friends, who are yearly attendees at the Burning Man festival, really let loose for a fun and crazy reception party.”
The only thing that slowed the photographers down, Bringas notes, was the hard, midday light during the ceremony. “In the end, though, it worked to our advantage, allowing us to experiment more with our camera setting, aperture, positioning and composition,” he reasons. “Problems are here to help us to become better photographers.”
