The Importance of Matting & Framing Wedding Prints

Rangefinder and its conference and trade show, WPPI, is on a mission to reinforce the importance of printing your work and realizing the sales impact on your business of POP (Power of Print). This includes discovering ways to get your clients to step up and invest in printed photographs, albums, wall art, metal and wood, and other lab presentation products hitting the industry. The goal of POP is to help photographers add revenue to their business by increasing their sales of print packages and specialty prints on unique materials. Through print and online articles, WPPI seminars, vendor support and more, Rangefinder is dedicated to helping photographers maximize their business by sharing unique and efficient ways to boost print sales.

Preserving Wedding Memories Through Print

Pushing print to your clients is something every wedding and portrait photographer should be doing more of. As one of Rangefinder’s most supportive subjects and speakers on the power of print (POP), portrait photographer Sue Bryce knows that what people really want is a product they don’t have to wait for. “I thought: ‘What if I printed my top package and had it finished, printed and ready to go at the sales session?’” says Bryce. “I have not looked back—and now I am watching thousands of photographers do the same.” With her “Reveal Wall,” Bryce uncovers her printed images on a wall, right before her clients’ eyes. This type of presentation, along with tips on matting and framing your prints, is what Rangefinder advocates on a regular basis in its POP approach.
