This wasn’t the first time that Liam Crawley (of international wedding duo The Crawleys, which he runs with his wife, Bee) attempted this type of shot. But each wedding is different, and for this wedding in Cheshire, UK, all of the elements came together perfectly.

The groom happened to be athletic enough to jump high in the frame, Liam says, and the hill in the background of this venue (the former house of singer-songwriter Gary Barlow) was filled with negative space and clear of any distractions. “I love the image for it’s humor,” Liam explains. “It’s my way of rebelling against the way wedding photography used to be!”
