Talk about an adventurous bridal party! Couple Breeze and Matt got married at the Manor Barn in Wiltshire in the UK, an area known for its beautiful landscapes and idyllic English country vibe. 

“There’s a beautiful woodland location just off from the venue that just so happens to be over a small river,” says photographer Will Stedman. “While taking photos of Breeze with her bridal party, I mentioned how lovely it would be to get photos in the secluded woodland. I didn’t expect it but she rallied up her bridesmaids and after spotting a series of stepping stones ventured into the river to get to the other side.”

Stedman pulled his shoes and socks off, rolled up his trousers and headed into the freezing river himself to get the shot. “I knew I had to get low to shoot along the water itself to get the shot using as much blurred foreground as possible to help isolate Breeze and her bridesmaids as they crossed. I also made sure to position myself so the sunlight came from behind them again to help pop them out from the background.”

Little did Stedman know at the time but the shot of the bride venturing over to the other side turned out to “be more than I had even hoped to get.”
