After this couple exchanged their vows, they drove a short distance with photographer Haluca Ruth of Se Ruth Photography to the small Romanian village of Porumbacu de Sus, where she captured this portrait.

The couple stood in front of the Castelul de Lut Valea Zanelor (the “Clay Castle of the Valley of the Fairies”) as Ruth waited for the crowds of tourists to dissipate. “I love this picture because it shows the couple’s tender love combined with this small, beautifull castle,” the photographer says. “It expresses a little bit of the magic from old fairytales as well as the intimity of starting a new home.”
