Photos of the Week
About a month after this couple’s Orlando, Florida wedding, the newlyweds decided to do another photo shoot at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami. The location holds special meaning for the bride; her grandfather used to take her there when she was little, says photographer Peyton Byford. As the couple leaned against a window and embraced, Byford stood on the other side of the bridge and shot this photo.
Since the sunlight was directly shining on the water, Byford exposed for the shaded area around the couple, giving the portrait a dreamy look. “My favorite part about the final frame is the illusion that they are in this whole other fairy tale world,” Byford says. “It just looks like a magical floating castle, and a complete departure from the rest of Miami. It was as if they had escaped somewhere far away.”
