Even if our images often are minimalistic in style and quite abstract, they are not staged. Here, the bride was leaving the room after the ceremony and turning around to reach down to get her dress in order. Light from a window to the left gave wonderful soft light. The bride told me later that this is one of her favorite images as it symbolizes all of the beauty and elegance of the day for her.

As photographers, we are too often caught up in our routine. Try to let go, try to see differently. The beauty often lies in the not-so-obvious things.
