When you’re with your person, it really doesn’t matter who is around, right? That’s what destination wedding photographer Gabe McClintock was thinking when he took this beautifully cinematic image—heightened in feeling by a beam of light coming through between the buildings at sunset that drowns out the chaos.

“I love the feeling of calmness in the middle of the chaos that the Rialto Bridge [in Venice, Italy] is during the day,” says the Calgary-based photographer. “Now looking back, in this world we are living in now, this image means so much more.”

Adds McClintock: “I think any of us would love to be able to just experience those crowds without worry. To be able to travel again and see the world past out doorstep. I cannot wait to stand on this bridge again and be in the middle of that chaos.”
