Liam Warton, a wedding photographer based in Stockholm, isn’t afraid to try something different when he’s shooting couples portraits. Naturally, it’s a dream come true when they’re up to experiment with him.

“This was definitely the case with Becky and Tim, who are also aspiring artists,” Warton says. “This shoot was inspired by the urban landscape paintings of Jeffrey Smart,” and to put a twist on the contemporary Precisionist artist’s work, Warton used infrared 35mm film.

“We explored an old industrial area next to a football stadium in Stockholm,” he explains, “and created a whole bunch of interesting compositions and frames.”
