Kenisha Gill, a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Southern California, used to work in the fashion industry before switching creative professions. With a camera in hand, it’s little wonder that her eye is so attuned to capturing how someone can look in wardrobe.

Photographing a styled shoot at Sunset Hills, in Apple Valley, California, Gill noted the “grand feeling of the open space” here, “so I placed the bride in the shaded portion of the space to keep the detail intact.” Gill then directed the model to walk and let the bright sun act as backlight to “draw focus on her and the large overhead lamps.”
