Bridal Couple’s Genuine Happiness with Prompt to Dance

Building a genuine connection to clients extends to many different areas of photography. That’s true whether we’re talking about your social media following as you work to focus on engagement over “vanity numbers” on Instagram, for instance, or how to get boudoir clients comfortable in front of your lens, or how to prompt families for more natural-looking portraits, or the comfort levels you need from couples in order to take creative risks at weddings.

“This photo, my couple did all on their own,” says Seth Sanker, one of three wedding photographers behind Seth & Co, who clearly made these two brides feel right at home. “We left their reception for a gorgeous sunset. We weren’t too far from the dance floor, so we could still hear the music playing.”

Then, “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” by Soulja Boy Tell’em came through the speakers, the song with accompanying choreography that some have credited for causing the biggest dance fad since the Macarena. “I told them to dance to it,” Sanker says, and “it brought out such genuine happiness, and the sunset just enhanced that!”
