We’ve watched Athentech’s Perfectly Clear application grow over the years and have used the software for quick and easy image corrections. But the latest release, version 3.5, really takes Perfectly Clear up a notch.

Perhaps the biggest change is that Perfectly Clear can now be used as a standalone application. Don’t worry, it still functions as a plug-in or external editor too, so you have multiple options for whatever best fits your workflow.

Open multiple images (including RAW) at the same time and it’s easy to switch from one to the other with Perfectly Clear’s new Film Strip tool. It seems like a simple addition but it definitely makes an editing session more convenient and efficient. And an Undo/Redo function has been added as well.

Version 3.5 also offers more presets and a separate LOOKs category. The latter simulates film stocks, color grades and other creative tweaks. Both presets and LOOKs offer a visual preview in the browser, so you can see the effect before applying it.

Also new are linear and radial graduated filters and automatic tint removal (manual options are still available for tint removal). Color restoration has also been enhanced.

Perfectly Clear really has come a long way and this version is pretty impressive. You can take it for a free, 21 day test drive or buy it now for $129. It’s free for v. 3.0 customers; $89 for other existing customers.
