At the majestic Sherborne Abbey, known as the “cathedral of Dorset,” UK wedding photographer Martin Dabek was on the job, documenting a couple’s ceremony, contending with dramatic interiors and light—and a curious little flower girl who was fighting for a better view.

She couldn’t sit still, Dabek explains, as several times she stepped out into the aisle to see the couple. “I thought that it would be a good idea to move from the front of the church to the back to capture her stepping again as the light was brilliant,” he says. “When the wedding couple was leaving the altar as a married couple, the flower girl stepped out again, but this time her mum was holding her hand and basically stopping her from ‘stealing the show.’ I think she did it anyway.”
