Software
The online gallery service ShootProof is purchasing the business management app Táve, the companies announced this week.
Both services will continue to be offered as standalone apps.
Táve was already playing well with ShootProof: you could import ShootProof gallery orderies to your Táve account and pair them with clients. While ShootProof was mum on what new capabilities would emerge from the merger, a company spokesperson said photographers could expect deeper integration between the two platforms in the future.
ShootProof noted in an online FAQ that if you’re using their invoicing and contracting functions you’ll be able to tap into Tave for questionnaires, quotes, lead tracking, workflow automation and financial tracking.
ShootProof said it will also continue to support other third-party software integrations.
So, in short, if you’re using ShootProof and not Táve, you won’t see much difference. If you’re using Táve but not ShootProof, again, you won’t see much change. If you want to use both, however, they’ll work even better together.
