As we’ve documented previously, videos are a great way to market to new customers, delight clients and grow your online influence.

LightMV is a new web service that lets you build template-based videos from your photos and video clips with ease (think Animoto, but in its infancy).

The new service has a number of templates divided by categories such as fashion, wedding, family, holiday and more. There are two template types: fixed and flexible. Fixed template videos sets hard limits on the number of photos, videos and text you can enter, while the flexible template has higher caps on content uploading. Templates include default music tracks but you’re also free to upload your own (licensed) music.

When you’re done building your video it can be shared directly to social media or downloaded locally to your computer.

LightMV offers three service tiers. A free tier lets you build one video at a time with up to 50 photos when using flexible templates. You’ll only be able to download a 360p-resolution video and it will have a watermark.

Spring for the Annual VIP tier for $30/year and you’ll be able to produce two videos simultaneously with up to 100 images in a video using the flexible template. This tier unlocks higher-resolution, 720p downloads with no watermarking. LightMV also offers a monthly tier at $13/month with the same features as the annual plan.
