When this couple got married at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge in British Columbia, photographer Justine Boulin was drawn in by how emotional it was. “There were so many great, photographable moments,” she says. “I have a documentary style of shooting and they were so on board to being open and just themselves, with nothing held back,” she continues. “All their family and friends who were invited were the most kind and warm group of people, and everyone was so easygoing and laid-back.”

One of Boulin’s favorite images from the day was of the groom’s siblings with their significant others getting quite emotional during the ceremony (below). “It was such a vulnerable moment and I think a lot of people try and hide when they are getting emotional like that,” she observes. “I really admired them (and a lot of the guests!) who had no shame at showing their emotion and love throughout the entire ceremony. It was really special.”

During the dancing, close to the end of the night, Boulin says that a slower song came on and that “everyone was so into each other and completely oblivious to each other at the same time. I was able to frame the bride and groom in between two other couples and just love the feelings it evokes.”
