Canon is introducing a new online photo community that will provide a combination of artificial and human intelligence to guide photographers looking to hone their craft.

Dubbed RAISE, the new online site will serve several functions. Images that are uploaded to the platform will be automatically tagged using an AI-based algorithm that can detect a variety of image characteristics including color, composition, subject matter and more.

RAISE users can receive feedback on images they post and view a feed that’s curated for them based on the images they upload and other preferences. The site will also support a Collections features which will let users privately share a batch of images to clients and friends.

Canon will also introduce a Lightroom plugin as well for uploading images to the service.

The service is free to join, though Canon has not specified how much storage it will provide.
