The day after this couple’s wedding, photographers Tatjana and Martin of léTIM Weddings staged a romantic portrait session at Upper Town in Zagreb, Croatia, the capital city’s historic district. The photographers knew they wanted to capture the beautiful architecture of the city, and as the sun was setting and illuminating this charming street, they used this scene as a backdrop.

“Everything was perfect,” Tatjana states of this particular setup. “We just needed a subject in the frame,” so the team directed their clients to walk right down the middle of the cobblestone street. The photo session was winding down at the time, and the couple was feeling pretty relaxed. “They were just talking and holding hands as they walked,” Tatjana recalls. “Then this spontaneous hug happened! The perfect moment we were waiting for. The final frame has beautiful light and central composition—it really emphasizes the emotion happening in the middle of the frame.”
