“Not gonna lie, I hate bouquet tosses,” admits wedding photographer Katherine Marchand of Wilde Scout. “They hurt my feminist soul and the photographs are always so anticlimactic.”

At this wedding, Marchand was originally positioned next to these to grooms “to survey the whole crowd” as the bouquet was tossed,” she says, “but I ended up jumping down behind them and shooting upwards at the last moment to get a completely different perspective. Obviously, best decision ever.”

During this wedding, Marchand “wanted to push the capabilities and speed of the new Fujifilm GFX and ended up shooting a lot of the dance floor medium format,” she says.

(Shot on a Fujifilm GFX with 63mm lens at f/2.8, 1/250th of a second and ISO 2500.)
