Vancouver-based wedding photographer Brian Van Wyk doesn’t find a whole lot of couples that want to shoot in the rain, but these two lovebirds were an exception to business as usual. The rain starting out was a light pattering but over the course of an hour shooting, they all got pretty drenched.

“There is a secret to this image,” Van Wyk reveals. “I positioned Aaron on the other side of a small waterfall so that I could shoot through the spray to add even more depth.” Sneaky! And when he was happy with the frame he got, he asked them to go in for a kiss. “And this happened. I can make sure the frame looks good, but I can never make a couple show me something so real and passionate,” the photographer says. “That was all them. When we all give 100 percent, magic happens.”
