Moving from Manchester, U.K., to the States eight years ago affected Erum Rizvi in more ways than one; a few years later, she would become one of the most prominent photographers of South-Asian weddings in the area. “Being a lover of light and color, it was inevitable,” says Rizvi, who credits her “vibrant Pakistani roots” in helping her “seamlessly blend into [the] crowd and capture the spontaneity of the ceremony.” Her images—which were given Junebug Weddings’ World’s Best of the Best award this year—are rich with color, bold in composition and edited lightly (she ditches actions and presets, sticking to Lightroom).
